From large-scale acrylic paintings to miniature pen and ink illustrations, Christine’s goal as an artist is to share her point of view through a unique and varied experience for the viewer. Her illustrations focus on stylized, realistic rendering while the overarching theme of her abstract work is the balance of raw expression and control. Living in Chicago, Christine’s work is informed by her everyday experiences: the busyness, the ever-changing, the permanent, the old and the new, the juxtaposition of industrial and natural. Christine has a great respect for traditional technique and her process is ever-evolving to build on that foundation.
Christine is a lifelong Chicagoan, currently residing in Northcenter with her dog Frankie. She studied fine art and design at Columbia College, University at Illinois at Chicago, and Northeastern Illinois University.
